We believe in taking care of our own and we want to build a thriving community where we all live, work and raise our families.

Your investment in Orleans Community Connects makes a huge difference for our community. There are so many things in this world that are out of our control, but today in Orleans County there are too many people who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. We support programs with your donations that help people who are the most in need in our community.

I'M NEVER GOING TO NEED THESE SERVICES SO WHY SHOULD I DONATE?

When our community thrives, we all thrive.
One more local kid in after-school program means one more high school graduate ready to take on the world.
One more local family with stable housing means one less zombie house causing property values to decline.
One more local elder with safe transportation and/or a hot meal prepared and delivered to them means one less emergency hospital visit driving up healthcare costs.

I NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE CAN UNITED WAY HELP ME?

Orleans Community Connects is not legally set up to provide direct financial assistance to individuals, but we work with many community partners that do. The best way to find available resources in your area is by calling our 2-1-1 help number. It’s a 3-digit number like 9-1-1, but for access to health and human services. Calling 2-1-1 will get you a trained resource and referral specialist, who will know what services are available in your area. Sometimes the 2-1-1 line can be a problem from a cell phone or may not yet be available in your immediate area. If you can’t get through on 2-1-1, you can go to www.211.org and type in your zip code. It will provide an alternate number where one is available.
