About Us

Rooted in Community. Driven by Connections.

Orleans Community Connects is a local, independent nonprofit dedicated to strengthening Orleans County by connecting people, resources, and organizations to address challenges that impact residents.

With deep roots in Orleans County, we have proudly served our community for decades. As our work has grown and evolved, our name now reflects our role today—while our commitment to caring for our neighbors and strengthening the community remains unwavering.

Who We Are

We are Community Connectors

That means we focus on bringing people together—residents, nonprofits, local government, businesses, and volunteers—to address challenges that no single organization can solve alone. We listen to community needs, identify gaps, and help align partners around shared solutions.

Our work is grounded in local relationships, lived experience, and a deep understanding of Orleans County.

What Guides Our Work

Everything we do is shaped by a few core principles:

  • Local – We are rooted in Orleans County and guided by the voices of the people who live and work here.

  • Collaborative – We work side by side with partners to create shared solutions and stronger outcomes.

  • People‑Centered – We put residents at the heart of our work and respond with dignity and compassion.

  • Impact‑Driven – We measure results to ensure our efforts lead to meaningful, lasting change.

How We Make an Impact

We focus on connecting residents to essential support systems and strengthening systems that improve quality of life, including:

  • Housing stability and basic needs

  • Digital access and digital literacy

  • Caregiver and family support

We don’t replace the work of others—we strengthen it by helping partners work better together.

Why Connection Matters

When people can access help, organizations are aligned, and communities work together, everyone benefits. Strong connections lead to stronger outcomes—for individuals, families, and the entire county.

That’s why we believe connection isn’t just part of the work—it is the work.

Be Part of the Work

Whether you’re looking for support, want to give back, or are interested in partnering with us, every connection
